Candy Cane Cookie Cup

I made this mug up for a display at a craft fair one year. I was trying to come up with fun ways to decorate candy cane cookies using different elements. I ended up really liking all of them together! The two candy canes at the far left were first glazed white and allowed to dry. For the first one, I added some wide stripes with white frosting and sprinkled them liberally with Candy Canes Edible Accents. On the middle one, I added wide stripes in red frosting and then sprinkled with red sanding sugar. The one at the right was glazed white and then sprinkled with white sanding sugar. After that dried, I added some stripes in red frosting. It was a fun look to have lots of different textures and elements for basically the same exact design. Try some fun combinations of your own!
