Silpat Silicone Baking Mat- Half Sheet

The original silicone baking mat by Demarle turns any baking sheet into a non-stick surface. Baking mat can be folded or rolled up for easy storage, rinses or wipes clean.   Made of the highest quality FDA-approved food grade silicone, and oven safe up to 480 degrees F, (280 C).  Baking mat is US half-sheet size: 11 5/8" by 16 1/2". I admit I was hesitant to jump on the silicone band wagon, but I finally caved back in 2002, and decided to try it. I've never looked back, and to this day I can't bake a cookie with out it!  Silicone helps promote even browning and prevents spreading-- two things that are a must for decorated cookies.
