Shipping Information

We ship quickly and offer many choices of shipping methods to fit your needs. Orders are normally shipped on or before the next business day. (Business days exclude Saturday and Sunday, and all U.S. Mail holidays (click here for a list of holidays.) All delivery time estimates in the Shipping Methods section below are figured from the date the order leaves our facility.


Our shopping cart software tracks stock levels of our products, so out-of-stock and back-ordered items are rare; however, they do happen occasionally due to human error in entering the products into the system (Karen is the human who sometimes makes errors!). If you purchase an item that is out-of-stock or back-ordered, we will contact you to make arrangements to substitute, refund, or ship the item separately. We will make every effort to contact you, but if we are unable to reach you by shipping time, we will send your order (minus the out-of-stock item) and ship the missing item separately when it comes back in stock at our expense. Some limitations may apply to international orders.


Your shipping costs will depend on the weight of your order, and the shipping method you choose.


It is very important that you read and understand the service standards and availability for all of your shipping options. We ship as quickly as possible, but once it has shipped, it is out of our control and delivery is up to the carrier. Please choose a shipping method that you are comfortable with and understand. Specific service availability will depend on various factors, such as delivery location and order weight. Available options will appear during checkout.

USPS First-Class Mail:
If your package is 13 ounces or less, First-Class Mail offers the best value for your postage dollar. Time in transit varies by location, and is anywhere from 2-6 business days. Delivery Confirmation number is included.

USPS Priority Mail:
Fast, economical shipping with 2-3 day service standard to most locations, and includes Saturday delivery. Although 2-3 business days is the standard and fairly reliable, it is not guaranteed. If you need a guaranteed option, please see Express Mail or UPS options below. Delivery Confirmation number and limited tracking are included.

USPS Express Mail: Guaranteed overnight delivery to most locations or your money back. Express Mail orders MUST BE PLACED BY 12:00 NOON MST in order to be processed that business day. Any Express Mail order placed after 12:00 noon MST will be processed the next business day. Please note that there are some locations that are excluded from the overnight guarantee. For personalized service, please call us (1-800-934-3997) before placing your order to make sure your area is included in the overnight guarantee. It will only take a moment to look up your service availability, and may save us both some frustration.

UPS Ground Service:
Delivery time is based on distance to the destination, anywhere from 1-5 business days. This does not include Saturday delivery. A tracking number is provided. UPS charges more for residential deliveries. Since most of our customers are residential, the residential fee is figured into your shipping charge. If your delivery address is a commercial address, please let us know and we can refund you for the residential charge (about $2.00 per shipment). Also figured in is the UPS Fuel Surcharge.

UPS 3 Day Select:
Delivery time is 3 business days, with delivery by end of day on the third day. This does not include Saturday delivery. A tracking number is provided. UPS charges more for residential deliveries. Since most of our customers are residential, the residential fee is figured into your shipping charge. If your delivery address is a commercial address, please let us know and we can refund you for the residential charge (about $2.00 per shipment). Also figured in is the UPS Fuel Surcharge.

UPS 2nd Day Air:
Delivery time is 2 business days, with delivery by end of day on the second day. This does not include Saturday delivery. A tracking number is provided. UPS charges more for residential deliveries. Since most of our customers are residential, the residential fee is figured into your shipping charge. If your delivery address is a commercial address, please let us know and we can refund you for the residential charge (about $2.00 per shipment). Also figured in is the UPS Fuel Surcharge.


If you choose a USPS shipping option, please make sure you use a USPS deliverable address. If you have a street address and a P.O. Box, please use your P.O. Box. UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes, and requires a physical street address. Undeliverable addresses can cause a delay in the order processing time.


Shipping charges for Canadian orders are calculated according to the shipping weight of the items you purchase. As a result, you pay only for the actual shipping and handling costs. Canadian orders are shipped out through USPS Priority Mail.

Your shipping costs and available shipping methods will depend on the weight of your order, and your country. Typically, for International orders, Priority Mail International and First Class Mail International are available. Besides the United States and Canada, we are currently offering shipping to the following countries:

ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
Karen's Cookies is not responsible for duty taxes that may be due upon arrival of your order. Duty taxes are determined when your package goes through customs, and we have no control over it. It is your responsibility to research the duty taxes for your country and place your order accordingly. Also please be aware that the contents and value of your package will be listed on the outside of the box for customs.
